In a haystack

Surely you have heard the expression to look for a needle in a haystack.

If trying to find something is like looking for a needle in a haystack, it means that it is very difficult, if not impossible to find among everything around it. Using English
Just like that it can be to find a job online. 1,820,000,000 links comes up if you search on Google for Work at home.

And how many of them are legit? Probably not even half.
But let me tell you about a wonderful resource to find work at home possibilities.
Craigslist.

Craigslist is not only for those selling things, it is one of the biggest job boards available on the net. You can find anything on there.

How to search for a freelance writing job: select the country and town where you want to look for a job and everything listed will come up.
If you are looking for freelance work the location is usually no problem so you will have the whole world at your feet. Or at your hand.

As anyone can advertise on Craigslist you have to be careful when replying to jobs.
Remember, if it sounds too good it probably is.
As a rule you should not: pay for anything, have to give personal details about yourself, send full articles you have written.

Simply send an email asking for further details about the job and wait for a reply. The company, if it is legit, will give you more details and you should be able to check their background. A simple Google search can help you if you are worried or are wondering about a company.

There is a section called gigs as well. There you can find more writing jobs. All jobs are dated but don´t be afraid to apply for a job that is a few days old. It usually takes time to find the right candidate so you could be the one they are looking for.

A few freelance jobs on Craigslist today:
Well educated writer/blogger/techie - expert on digg, technorati, etc
Free - Lance Calligrapher wanted.
Restaurant Review Editor Needed
Food/Cocktail Bloggers Needed for Jewish Magazine
Magazine Writers Needed
SEO Article Ghostwriter Needed

Please not that I take no responsibility for the jobs listed, they are just a few examples of what you can find. The links expires after some time so if your link leads you nowhere that is not because of me.

If you think it takes too long to search, check out DebNg´s page Freelance Writing Jobs. Always new interesting jobs listed.

There is also Crazedlist.
There you can narrow your search for Craigslist and find more jobs. It is not affiliated with craigslist in any way but it is a good place to extend your search.

Good luck searching!
